Where do you find the sacred in your life?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 07, 2009:
I find it in everything but mainly in nature and children. But also a lot in girlfriends too - in friendships.
Children are the closest to divinity and sacredness because they are totally in the present moment and totally (sometimes brutally) honest - until they start school and they are taught to "behave". They are our biggest teachers. We're not. We have unlearnt to do so many things like:
- trust
- be grateful
- shine
- be confident
- be generous
- enjoy the present moment
And I could go on and on and on. Sometimes though I feel sad when I see children's parents who are trying to impose their "ADULTHOOD" (or should I say sadness and greyness) onto their child in the pretense of educating them.
This will change... it has too.

everywhere - walking, talking, breathing, being, observing; at all times - whenever I am awake…
Oh how I LOVE this mosaic!
Anges, such a thoroughly true account and one which I share in my experience. Much energy is put into forcing un-nature into the children’s already complete, perfect minds, to extend the cult of suffering the ‘adults’ have been socialised with further. Socialisation has become a breaking down act rather than a building up one…
But as you said, the use of our energy in these destructive ways has got to stop or there will be no human species to speak of in due course. Suffering is the first step to dying; nurturing the first step to living…
May truth and wisdom reign among mankind.
I am also valuing so much of what you’ve highlighted here today. Love is, Life is Good…
Love to you,
Sherrilene
Touche`!
YES, this has got to change and I am a part of the change!
Beautiful collage up there!
Hugs, Anges!
Nuit, Sherri and Mila,
Thank you so much. Yes I agree with you Nuit: everything: the night, the day, silence, music, a flower, a puddle of petrol, a smile…. a broken piece of mirror…
This mosaic was done with my daughter in mind when she was a toddler… reaching out for the moon and then letting it go.
Thank you all for your lovely contributions.
nature, children and girlfriends - oh yeh! - may i add a touch of chocolate to the picture you have painted, just for good measure of course :)
Hey Ohmsmom, Yes please, make it dark for me: over 70% cocoa.
