I dream with my eyes open… of a better world where women would work in close knit circles to support one another, regardless of class, education and race… where children would be brought up by a group of people and more than one generation, where each woman would feel honoured and valued, whether she has children or not. Where kindness would be ranked higher than cleverness. Where loneliness would not exist. Where old age would rhyme with wisdom and would be honoured by society. Where all generations would live together in harmony. Where illness and disability would be valued for the blessings they bring. Where being different would mean being interesting rather than menacing.
